GRACE VS WORKS > “SALVATION”

Before Jesus came to this world, God had a covenant with the Jews. This Old covenant demanded man to live perfectly by obeying the whole law, and because NO ONE could keep the whole law, so they had to sacrifice animals to have their sins covered.

When covered, God couldn’t see the sins and thus blessed them. Clearly, this covenant was demanding. Man had to KEEP LAWS and SACRIFICE animals. What a lifestyle?!

James 2:10 says that if you break one law, you are guilty of all! In other words, the law wasn’t to be kept as different laws, it was one set to be kept perfectly. That’s why everyone failed.

Then came Jesus, he became man, went through all temptations like you do, but he didn’t sin. He had no sin! He was attracted to some bad things (that’s what temptations means) but he didn’t give in to the attraction. But then…he died! Why???;

I should die, because I fail. You should die! Why are you alive? Jesus was the lamb that was killed for your sins. And his blood didn’t just cover sins, it removed them!

Now you have no punishment to face, even if u break the law! Therefore there is no point of walking according to the law, because you will not be judged by it. That’s why the bible says we are not under the law!

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.- Rom 6:14 (KJV)

“FAITH IS NOW”

Heb 11:1 (KJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. “

We can talk on the subject of faith the whole year! But let me finish the series today by the same verse we began with.

NOW faith is – faith operates in the NOW!

I’ve heard people saying, “let’s hope and pray…” That’s wrong, especially when you’re serious about getting results! Faith is not hope.

Quoting Kenneth .E. Hagin, “Hope is a good waiter but a poor receiver.” ✅✅✅✅

Mark 11:24 (KJV)
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, BELIEVE that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

The word doesn’t tell us to hope when we pray, it tells us to BELIEVE!

Faith is for NOW! Use faith to receive from God. Believe that you have it when you pray! Hope has its place, but it isn’t for receiving! Faith receives!

“I HAVE OVERCOME!!”

John 16:33 (KJV)
“…In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

How could Jesus say he had overcome the world, yet he had not yet gone to the cross?? He had not died or risen! How could he utter such a powerful statement

Simple, he was a man of faith! There are many people you can look at as examples of FAITH-filled lifestyles. Eg Abraham, Elijah, David, Moses etc….but the ultimate and best example is our Lord Jesus himself‼

He didn’t wait for the resurrection day for him to know he had overcome the world, he had the EVIDENCE of faith in him! He KNEW he had overcome the world!

When do you know you have won a battle?? When do you shout in victory??? When do you give testimonies of praise? After you get the crown? After you see the results? After you get the job? THERE IS A MORE EXCELLENT WAY!!!!!
