“BOUGHT WITH A PRICE”

Gareth Bale a Real Madrid soccer player was bought from Totenham Hortspurs in 2013 for approx 90M Euros, above ksh 9Billion. Wow!  After signing such players, they’re given the best treatment! Best physicians! Best dietitians! Best resources! Why? They are worth it! These players don’t worry on any material needs! They know that the one who bought them, paid such a high price to let them suffer.

Do you know that you were bought with a far much higher price than Gareth Bale? Do you know how much you are worth? How much Did God pay?  He paid Jesus! No amount of cash can buy Jesus! That in turn means that no amount of cash can match YOUR worth!

Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 7:23 that we were bought! Friend, do you remind yourself of that fact? The fact that you are so expensive that only Jesus could be used to buy you?

God walks on gold, he owns planets, yet none of these could purchase you! He would have given some stars or some planets to get you. But none could match your worth! U are too expensive!

So he gave the best; JESUS!

John 10:11

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

Jesus is saying just how much he cares about you. He says that he is the GOOD shepherd that lays down his life for his sheep.  Friend, between the sheep and the shepherd, who is more valuable alive? Is there any good reason to die in order to save one sheep? Really???

It doesn’t attract tourists, doesn’t carry stuff…sheep are not really worth fighting for! Why is the good shepherd ready to die for just one sheep?!?! LOVE.

You have nothing much worth DYING for. You are not that smart, you make mistakes everyday, doubt God, forsake him…only LOVE can make a shepherd die saving a sheep!

Jesus loves you. He is not interested on whether you can catch thieves like a German shepherd dog, plough the field like strong bulls, carry loads like the donkey…he knows you are a sheep and likes you that way.

“TOOK AWAY MY TRANSGRESSIONS”

Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)

“But he was pierced for our transgressions,

“What are transgressions?  Sin, iniquity, transgressions all have different applications.

Transgression is simply to transgress. To cross a line.  What line had you crossed? The LAW!  The law shows God’s standards. The law is not bad. It is holy! When you look at it, you see God’s perfection.

Do you know that no one can keep the law? There are 613 laws in total! So many, right?!

James 2:10 says that if you break one law you are guilty of all! If you keep 612 and break  just one, you are guilty and bound to get the punishment of even the 612 you had kept!! You cannot keep the law! We have all transgressed!

Think of the 10 commandments! Lust = adultery? Am guilty!  Hate = murder?!  Wow! Who can keep these laws?

God is too perfect! We were all bound to die! Perish in hell! Get all the curses in Deuteronomy 28!

But God, loving us so so much, sacrificed his son, put ALL your punishment for transgressing the law on his son, his son died because the wages of sin is death, his son took all the curses in Deuteronomy 28, he took all your punishment, now you are free!
