“THE POWER OF HOPE”

1 Cor 13:13

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Many times we talk about love. Many times we study on the topic of faith. But do we talk about hope? Do we understand the power of hope?

What is hope?

I would define it as a positive expectation of the future. This expectation is in imaginative form. Our imaginations are important.

Unfortunately, people see them as childish fantasies. This can’t be further from the truth! We need imaginations! I call them faith pictures!
Human brains operate in pictures. When I say “baby”, am sure you haven’t seen these letters in your mind (b-a-b-y), instead, am sure you’ve seen a baby! Picture!

When you alight from the bus going home, you subconsciously use mental pictures to locate your house. The pictures take you home.

Romans 8:25

“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait patiently.”

Do you have issues waiting for a job? Relationship? Position? Probably you are not walking in the hope of God.

Meditate on the word. Speak by faith and create faith pictures concerning your future! These pictures will take u home!

I have imaginations bout my family! Ministry! Etc I always keep these pictures with me! They are clear!

HE EXCEEDS OUR EXPECTATIONS!

In life, there is always that thing that you need…that list of stuff you’re praying for…and we have an expectation of what we want to see. I remember a long time ago I had in mind what a perfect girlfriend should look like…dress like…talk like…I had a complete picture in mind. Am sure you have the perfect house in your head…the perfect family…you have already pictured the car you want to drive in…the church you want to start…its natural to have all that.

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

God is just so cool. He doesn’t grant us what we are praying for…he gives us BEYOND our expectations. When I finally got a girlfriend…after many years of waiting…she blows my mind every day! She is so BEYOND my prayers! So BEYOND my expectations!

If I went out to get one for myself…I would obviously have gone way below what I have now. I rested in the wisdom of my father to guide me in the perfect direction. I don’t know what you are expecting from God…but I know one thing…if you wait on him to deliver…he will BLOOOOOWWW your mind!

CLUELESS: MISSING THE PRESENCE OF GOD

Have you ever been in the presence of someone famous and didn’t know who they were until someone else told you? And you just feel like going back in time at-least to take a selfie with them? “dUDE! You mean you didn’t notice the lady standing next to you? The president’s daughter!” Why didn’t he notice the presidents daughter? He just doesn’t know her that well. That’s the exact reason why some of us fail to notice the presence of the Lord! We just don’t know him!

You’re almost hit by a bus…you escape untouched…your rent is overdue yet your landlord is so extraordinarily patient with you…you have a peaceful pregnancy and a quick delivery…you read last minute and pass the exam…you sleep, don’t know how, but you woke up…breathing well…you leave your house, go to work and come back in the evening safe 🙂 and in all these you aren’t sensing the presence of the LORD??!!! SIMPLE….you don’t know him!
