“YOU ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD”

2 Cor 5:21 (NIV)

“God made him who had NO sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

When we get born in this world, we are all born with sin. Even a little 1 day old baby has sin!

“Well Sam, he hasn’t done anything yet! That’s unfair!”
Listen friend, there is a difference between Sin(nature) and sins(actions).
People don’t become sinners when they sin, they sin because they are already sinners! They already have the nature!
Guess what, Jesus didn’t have this nature! He had no sin! Why?  He wasn’t born by the sperm of man! He was born of God!

Mathew I:18

This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.

He was pure! But because of LOVE, God put all your sins(actions) on Jesus! Now someone who never sinned was made to carry sin!

When you believe in Jesus, you have no sins(actions) to pay for! God sees you as faultless! You have never sinned! Jesus took your sins and you received his righteousness! Righteousness means being RIGHT in the eyes of God!
Friend, Jesus took your past, present and future sins! Even if u commit a sin tomorrow, you won’t need another cross! The cross has taken care of that too! You are forever right in Gods eyes!

“TOOK AWAY MY TRANSGRESSIONS”

Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)

“But he was pierced for our transgressions,

“What are transgressions?  Sin, iniquity, transgressions all have different applications.

Transgression is simply to transgress. To cross a line.  What line had you crossed? The LAW!  The law shows God’s standards. The law is not bad. It is holy! When you look at it, you see God’s perfection.

Do you know that no one can keep the law? There are 613 laws in total! So many, right?!

James 2:10 says that if you break one law you are guilty of all! If you keep 612 and break  just one, you are guilty and bound to get the punishment of even the 612 you had kept!! You cannot keep the law! We have all transgressed!

Think of the 10 commandments! Lust = adultery? Am guilty!  Hate = murder?!  Wow! Who can keep these laws?

God is too perfect! We were all bound to die! Perish in hell! Get all the curses in Deuteronomy 28!

But God, loving us so so much, sacrificed his son, put ALL your punishment for transgressing the law on his son, his son died because the wages of sin is death, his son took all the curses in Deuteronomy 28, he took all your punishment, now you are free!

‘SEE JESUS’

Numbers 21:4-9 (NIV)

⁶ Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died. ⁷ The people came to Moses and said, “We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

⁸ The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” ⁹ So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.

In this portion of scripture, the Israelites spoke against God and Moses. So God sent venomous serpents among them leading to the death of many Israelites. The ones still alive came to Moses confessing their sin and asked him to pray that God may take the snakes away.

Through the instructions he got in prayer, Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Anyone who was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake lived! By looking at the snake, the venom didn’t harm them
