“A BIG GOD”

Gen 18:10-14

‘Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?”

Sarah laughed at the promise because she considered her age and that of her master Abraham.

When you consider the situation, you are being inconsiderate of God!

You don’t need a BIG faith and a SMALL God, you only need a small faith and a BIG God!

When you wake up, say I have a BIG GOD! He is on my side! When you get a discouraging message, say “I HAVE A BIG GOD!”

Sarah forgot God was in the equation. She only thought of her and her master.

“HAVE YOU LEFT?”

Genesis 12 opens up with the call of Abram!
In verse 1, the Lord says to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your fathers household and go to the land I will show you.”
Then verse 2 n 3 show the Lord blessing Abram. Then in verse 4 we see Abram’s response; “So Abram left, as the Lord had told him;”

Have u noticed something? Abraham didn’t even respond in speech! He just left!

Whats your response to the word?

“Fear not, don’t allow your heart to be troubled, worry about nothing, go yea and preach the gospel, you can do anything through Christ, everything happens for good” …have u seen these in the bible? What else have you seen? What have read today in the bible? What was your response?

SOAKING IN THE TRUTH

Genesis 2 (AMP)

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

When you become the child of God, it’s expected that your ways will change. Now, we talk of being saved and living by grace, that’s true, but there is something that we need to do. That’s what I’d like to briefly share today. After you are born again, there should be a SEEN change in your character/ behavior/ likes and dislikes….you are not supposed to live the same old life. Am I putting pressure on Christians to live by works? NO….you should live by faith. Then how are you supposed to change your behavior? How does right believing lead to right living?

God told Adam that he should eat of EVERY tree in the garden. After that he tells him not to eat of the tree of good and evil. Before God tells what not to do…he tells you what to do! God knew that if Adam and Eve, ate of EVERY tree in the garden, they would not have the TIME or need to eat of the tree of good and evil. They would be so full that they wouldn’t eat of that one weird tree.

Friend, when you spend your time and energy in reading the word of God…you’ll find it so sweet and filling that you won’t need to eat anything else! When you listen to the right songs (hillsongs, bethel music, kari jobe, lecrae, tedashi, Jamie grace, flame, etc etc) you will NOT have the taste for the much confused and lost secular songs. When you hangout with christian brothers and sisters and experience the love/joy and realness of these people you wont have the desire or appetite to club, get wasted and get arrested at 3am!
