Isaiah 53:4
“Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows.”
In the original language (Hebrew), the word infirmities actually means “sicknesses” and sorrows was originally “pains“.
So he took our sicknesses and carried our pains! Its actually talking of ones health!
Matthew 8:14-17 shows us Jesus healing the sick and it ends by saying;
“this was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah…he took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”
So don’t allow those teachings that remove actual physical healing from this prophesy. It included physical healing!
He took all our sicknesses e.g. cancer, diabetes, hypertension, ulcers, arthritis,…all pains including headaches, chest pains, back pains,…stress…he took them all!
Do you know that on the cross he had all these! He had cancer! He had all the diseases you know about! He BORE all your pains and sicknesses! Why??? So that you will never have to bear them.
